Y.O. Exotic Game Sale
October 4th, 2025Y.O. Ranch Headquarters Fall Exotic Game Sale
We’re featuring over 150 lots of exotic game with a live auction, plus a live stream with DV auctions. Enjoy local artisan booths, animal tours, delicious food, and drinks throughout the day.
There will be an open bar at the sale barn during the auction, followed by a cash bar at the pool and lodge after the sale.
To Our Consignors
In order to prepare for this event, please fill out the consignment form and email or call in your consignments as soon as you have an idea of what you’ll be brining. We kindly ask that we receive everyone’s best guess on consignment by Saturday, October 4th. As always, the lot fee is $100/$100 PO Fee, and the consignors will receive two free tickets to the sale.
Please note that the commission per lot is:
Sale price up to $5,000: 10% commission.
Sale price $5,001 - $19,999: 9% commission.
Sale price over $20,000 - 8% commission.

From the end of the auction until 11 PM.
Anyone in line 1 hour after the auction ends will be loaded.

8 AM - 3 PM (After hours by appointment only - daily feeding fees will start here)
Auction Day Schedule
Lunch, dinner, an open bar from noon until midnight. The ranch’s upcoming auction will conclude with music and entertainment at the lodge.

Online Bidding
Participate in the auction remotely through DV Auction! Use the link provided to register and access the live online bidding platform.
$75/ticket
Your ticket includes entry into the ranch, access to the live auction, lunch, an open bar at the sale barn, and dinner with musical entertainment at the pool.
Pre-Registration
Save Time and Pre-Register for the Upcoming Exotic Game Sale!
- On sale day, pre-register buyers will have access to a special line for quick pick-up of their buyer number and auction catalog.
- The first 50 pre-registered buyers will receive swag bags filled with goodies from our vendors and cosignors.
Important Information
Payment Options
Cash or check accepted for auction purchases; 3% fee for credit card transactions.
State Compliance
Ensure compliance with TAHC and TPWD regulations. Our state representative will be available at the auction to assist with any questions.
- All animals are sold "times the money." Pay attention to the auctioneer.
- All sales are final once the auctioneer says "sold."
- The consignment list represents only a small percentage of available animals. Approximately 70% arrive the day before and may not be advertised.
- All cosigned animals are subject to capture.
- Animal descriptions are provided by the seller, not Y.O. Ranch Headquarters.
- The barn is not open to the public. Hoofstock can only be viewed as they pass through the auction.
State Requirements for Animals
The following guidelines must be met before bringing animals to the acution.

Male Cattle
All sexually intact males 11 months or older require a Trich Test.
Equine (Horses, Donkeys, Zedonks, Etc.):
Must have a Coggins Test. (Zebras are exempt unless coming from out of state.)
Sheep & Goats
Require a Scrapie Tag, which we can provide for $5 each.
CWD-susceptible Species
(e.g., Red Deer, Elk, Reindeer, Sika, Muntjac, and hybrids): Must be tagged, and movement paperwork completed at drop-off.
Birds/Fowl/Game Birds
Require a license to sell from TAHC and/or TPWD.

Bottle Babies, Sugar Gliders, Tortoises, Lemurs, Coatimundi, Prairie Dogs, African Crested Porcupines, Pygmy/Dwarf Goats, Emus, Ostriches, Rhea, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Mini Herefords, Llamas, Alpacas, Highland Cattle, Longhorns, Donkeys, Mini Horses, Zebus, Muntjacs, Hog Deer, Buffalo, Water Buffalo, Waterbuck, Watusi, Wildebeest, Zebras, Oryx, Gemsbok, Barasingha, Sables, Roans, Kudu, Pere David, Red Deer, Elk, Eland, Red Lechwe, Addax, Nilgai, Blackbuck, Axis, Fallow, Sika, Goats, Sheep (including 4-Horn, Black Hawaiian, Corsican, Mouflon, Texas Dall, Barbado, Transcaspian, and Urial), Aoudad, Sloths, Monkeys, Bengal Cats, and Wolf Hybrids, Camels, Nile Lechwe, Bongo, Impala, and Thompson Gazelle.
Note: At this time, we are no longer accepting mounts or filler items.
