Where is Y.O. Ranch Headquarters located? Where will I be staying?

Y.O. Ranch Headquarters is an hour and a half northwest of San Antonio. Take I-10 West out of San Antonio. Take Exit 490, Highway 41, toward Rocksprings / Mountain Home. Stay on Hwy 41 for approx. 17 miles. Our entrance will be on the right with the historic YO Sign and 2 flags. Drive into the ranch a mile until you hit our gate. At the time of booking, you should receive the gate code. Drive another 7.5 miles into the ranch until you reach the second set of flags. The office / lodge is located directly in front of the flags.

What are the nearest airports?

The closest commercial airport is San Antonio International Airport, about a 90-minute driveaway. Car rentals are available at the airports, and we offer airport pickup and drop-off services for an additional fee. The nearest private airport is in Kerrville, Texas, a short drive from our ranch.

What is the best time to visit?

The optimal time for hunting varies based on the species. For specific hunting seasons and availability, please refer to our website or email zach@yoranchheadquarters.com. Advanced booking is recommended due to high demand.

Is a deposit required for booking?

Yes, advance payment of meals and lodging is required in order to secure your date.

Can I extend my hunting trip?

Yes, subject to availability, you can add extra hunting days to your trip.

Can I bring a non-hunting guest?

Absolutely! We welcome non-hunting guests at a daily rate that includes shared lodging, meals,drinks, and maid service.

How do I obtain a Texas non-resident hunting license?

Visit the Texas Parks & Wildlife website for the latest information and to purchase your license in advance.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is typically from 1-3 PM, and check-out is at 10am.

What expenses are not included in the hunt package?

Additional costs include meat processing, taxidermy, state hunting licenses, transportation, andtips for guides and staff.

Do you offer meat processing and taxidermy services?

We provide free delivery to our preferred processor and taxidermist, but these services are not directly offered by the ranch.

How much should I tip?

Tipping is at your discretion, based on satisfaction with the service. Industry standards are available for guidance.

What should I bring?

Bring your hunting gear, if hunting, including appropriate clothing, weapons, and personal items. We have a fully stocked general store for any forgotten items.

What can I expect during my hunt?

Your hunt will be tailored to your preferences and abilities, overseen by a professional guide. Please inform us in advance if you are a bow or pistol hunter.

What is the recommended attire?

Camouflage clothing is recommended, with specifics depending on the season.

How can I settle my invoice?

Payment can be made via various methods, or by contacting the front office at 830-640-3222. Note that there is a processing fee for card payments.
